One Dress:Two Ways

If you know me, you know I'm all about keeping it simple when it comes to my clothes. As much as I love to express myself through fashion, I hate to fuss over what I'm going to wear. Particularly during a time where I work a 9 to 5 job, certain pieces just aren't practical for me right now. In addition to some of my other fashion rules, I rarely purchase anything that can't be worn in two or three different ways. For example, if I can't wear a blouse to the office and to the movies with my friends, I probably don't buy it. One item that I don't hesitate to purchase is a white blouse. I LOVE WHITE BLOUSES. Some days I think of renaming my blog: "Ionlywearwhitetops.com". White blouses fit all of my rules; practical, neutral, classic. I love them.

When I saw this dress in Zara, I knew she was the one. Cotton, white, buttons, my dream come true. Easy to dress up or down, belt it, wear it over jeans or with slacks for work. *sigh* For this post, I chose to style it two opposite ways. Dressed up and off the shoulder with pops of color in my shoes and purse and then more casual 'grandma' style with my Birkenstocks. Does anyone else love grandma style? If you haven't tried it, I recommend it, it's super comfortable and almost always includes Birkenstocks.  Listen, get you a girl who can go from date night to geriatric in the snap of a photo. She's the one you'll be with into your old age.
