Heyyyyy! How are you, hope you're well. Happy Belated Juneteenth! I was going to write a post about the beauty of living in the United States of America but as a citizen of Heaven, a temporary visitor, if you will, I'd rather talk about my freedom in Christ. It's very easy to forget about.
Reminder: God IS wholehearted love and ONLY He loves us fully. We were created to experience this love.
"To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ." Ephesians 3:8
There is something about this relationship, something about the Gospel, about knowing Christ that can only be revealed to you through revelation. He has to touch you, in a way that is unique you. Often, in ways that are inexplicable. If you could explain how this relationship feels, then He wouldn't be God. He died for EVERYONE, every person that ever existed or ever will exist. His grace was given to you so that you could go and preach to others about the unsearchable riches of Christ. That is how deep this WORD is. You can't Google aspects of His nature and who He is and get one definitive answer. He is EVERYTHING. He means something different to everyone. His grace manifests in everyone's life differently.
Reminder: We weren't worthy of God in our past life when we were dead in our trespasses but because of Christ and His love for us and our faith in Him, our faith from Him, "we now come boldly and confidently into God's presence." (Ephesians 3:12)
Reminders of your freedom in Christ:
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17
Not was, sometimes when you act right, IS freedom. Period.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13-14
God, Himself called you to be free.
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
A few questions based on the verse above...Why has Christ set us free? What are we supposed to do? Who's power is it to burdened again by a yoke of slavery? OK cool.
Hope you're being free today and always.
