Proximity and Presence

This morning while I was making breakfast, I was taking longer than expected and it was cutting into my quiet time. I have been practicing being in the presence of the Lord, adjusting my perspective around it so that I remember that He is in me and always with me and always ready to fellowship with me, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. Instead of looking for His presence, simply acknowledging it. So I said to Him, "talk to me God", and instantly my attention was fixed on the sun creeping beautifully through the back window of the kitchen. The word says that Jesus is the sunrise. I then said, "what do you want me to do today?"  I then heard, " I want you to do the things that you haven't been doing, that I told you to do a long time ago." ... I started to feel condemnation and I recognized that what I heard wasn't God speaking to me. I listened again and the tune changed. "I love you so much, good morning. Today I want you to remember that you can be sure about when I am speaking to you. You don't have to hesitate. I'm here in every moment, you have access to Me in every second, every thought, every activity. Today I want you be confident in the fact that we are connected, that I live inside of you."

I was a little taken aback. I didn't think He was going to say all of that lol. But, He did and I’m confident in my connection with Him.

Today, I want to encourage you not to separate you and God. He is alive and inside of you and you can access Him whenever you want. You can be confident in those 'gut' feelings because it's the Holy Spirit calling all of the things of God to you, aligning your path and mindset with who you were created to be. You don't have to get through a whole prayer or three devotionals or a church service to experience the Presence of God. He is never resisting you, He is never withholding access to Himself. He is here.
